Born & raised in LA, I was a music major at Pasadena City College. Ive been involved with many different projects from being the drummer for a rapper, to touring with eccentric all-female punk bands, to playing for a church as part of the worship team for 6 years.
I became interested in creating diss tracks as a result of growing frustrations with our current political climate. The tragic loss of my sister to COVID, combined with the appalling reaction from those in denial, further fueled my passion for this style of music. Additionally, a traumatic dog attack has impacted my ability to fully utilize my hands, resulting in a unique flaw in my instrumental skills that has contributed to my distinct sound.
While I play guitar and sing, my true passion lies in playing the drums. I miss my drum kit, but I thrive when surrounded by a supportive audience. My music aims to uplift and add depth to the bleakness of our political reality, with vindictive and lush vibes that resonate with listeners.
Heavily influenced by Fiona Apple, Portishead, Massive Attack, Bjork, Aphex Twin, James Blake, the color purple original soundtrack, Reverend James Cleveland, Les Claypool, Al Green, Erykah Badu, the Fifth Dimension, Reggie Watts, Lykki Li, Jonny Greenwood, Tom Tom Club, Sporty Spice, Kurtis Blow, Cody CheanuTT, Janet Jackson and more, it’s safe to say I fall under Trip-hop/downtempo & alternative rock. My journey in this direction began as soon as I moved to NYC which was recent, so welcome to my early start.
